Here’s a preview of the things that I discuss in my correspondent’s report into tomorrow’s episode of For Immediate Release:
- Google search on “social network portability”
- Microformats wiki: social-network-portability
- Tris Hussey’s “The Mediasphere” podcast on August 14: “Portability of Social Networks” with guest Brian Oberkirch
- Data Sharing Summit, Sept 7-8, Richmond, CA (see also Network World article about the event)
- Kim Cameron: “Digital gifts for my digital birthday“
- IABC Heritage Region Conference, Oct 14-16, near Cincinatti, OH, where I’m giving a “Podcasting 101” talk at 7:45am on the 16th.
And the thing I meant to talk about but forgot- Jeremiah Owyang: “Facebook news page gives away son’s taboo party“
Luke Armour has a bit of a special guest appearance… of sorts… but you’ll have to listen tomorrow to FIR #267 to hear what I mean. 🙂
Wow! Lots of link love from you today Dan! Man, I’m going to have to get on the stick and write more!
So Dan, what does Luke owe you for the free pub? A laptop? An iPhone? A subscription to Business 2.0? lol
It was one of the enjoyable pieces I’ve heard in awhile. Thanks for reminding us that Ideal is not the same as Perfect.
Love & Peace, Clarence
Dan – thanks for making me sound like a guy who has no web 2.0 etiquette. I mean, at first I thought you made me sound crazy, but that’s slightly accurate, but I DO have social media savvy. I mean, I wiped my feet and I know that all my Facebook widgets all go to the left of my salad fork.
Clarence, unfortunately the terms of our agreement were not disclosed. We’re going to try something new. Sponsorship barter where no one knows what we traded and no one knows what it’s for. It’s the new fad.
