Welcome to this new blog, "Disruptive Conversations"! Here you will find my writing about blogs, podcasts, wikis, virtual worlds like Second Life, tools and other aspects of "social media" that are fundamentally changing how we have conversations… with customers, with vendors, with friends and with each other. As our modes of communication are being disrupted, this is my attempt to chronicle the ongoing changes. So far it’s been a crazy ride… and all signs are that it’s only going to get crazier!
For over six years, I’ve been blogging about these and a variety of other topics in a single weblog, which for the past three years has been at dyork.livejournal.com (aka "blog.danyork.com"). With the start of 2007, I decided to break my writing out into focused weblogs. This blog is one of the results. Thank you for stopping by, please do subscribe to get my latest posts – and please do let me know what you think. Thanks.
Dan:
Great name for the blog, and good luck with it! I’m subscribing right now.
Hey Dan – I agree with Bryan (hey, Bryan!) great name, and good luck!
Hey Dan, nice strategy for your blogging “life”. I wish you the best of luck in this new path. Greetings,
Ron E.
Hi, Added a new value add to my blog this weekend – a news widget from http://www.widgetmate.com/news I always wanted to show latest news for my keywords in my sidebar. It was very easy with this widget. Just a small copy paste and it was done. Great indeed.
I like the tabbed microcontent because even non-bloggers intuitively know what’s inside. Moreover, they can see you do more than blog tech things.
Well Dan, I must admit anything else but the truth : we have to be “disrupted” in our lives, and Web and social buzz, are perfect actors of this change. And I guess, you might be an funny speaker about it…I will try to follow your work
Best Regards !
So, here’s my question to you, Dan.
Do you anticipate that *you* and *your job* will be disrupted by all the disruptive media?
Or do you expect to just disrupt other people with it?
