Reading Jeff Pulver’s account makes me want to try ustream.tv…

Okay, I admit, there’s something about reading Jeff Pulver’s account of he and Chris Brogan trying out Ustream.tv yesterday that just for whatever reason makes me want to try it out…  perhaps next time I’m at a conference (like VON Europe in about 2 months). I think I’d want to do a session with a partner, though, so that it wasn’t just a talking head…  hmmmm….

I, for one, would love to see what you’d do with it. I bet it’d be a great conversation, for sure, and you know, you can stream some of VON Europe or PodCamp Europe live. 🙂

    Dan:
I had a “mind-melting” moment, as Mitch Joel calls it, last Saturday night in watching Jeremiah Owyang hosting a Ustream.TV session. While the topics of conversation weren’t necessarily interesting — Jeremiah talking about people I’d never heard of, etc. — I was captivated by the interactive and immediate nature of it.
Chris Brogan assures me this is “stupid-simple” to use. All you need is a web connection (Wi-Fi works, too), a webcam, and Flash 9, which automatically detects said webcam.
Now, just think of the possibilities: Ustream your conference session. Ustream your wedding or family function for relatives who can’t attend. UStream yourself recording your podcast (in which case, for those watching the live stream, it’s technically not a podcast … but I digress).
I believe this is going to get very big very fast. Just want to know who’s paying the bandwith costs.
